You probably don’t realize how much anxiety you’re carrying around.

At least, I don’t. I often don’t realize that I’m anxious until I’m trying to sleep and my body is shaking, my palms are sweating, and my mind races in circles like it’s the last lap of the Indy 500.

I’ve dealt with intense anxiety for my entire life.

I had my first panic attack in 5th grade. In high school, I thought anxiety made me “special”.

I thought I had spidey senses.

This was until I was 20, and I ate a pot-laced tootsie roll that sent me into a spiral of derealization that lasted for 9 months.

Over the years, I’ve become obsessed with improving my anxiety. So much so, that at times, I get anxious about dealing with anxiety. I’ve worked really hard to learn to deal with this anxiety constructively.

I’ve done therapy, meditation, journaling, cold showers, working out — everything.

This new habit that I’ve adopted recently has worked better for me than all of the others.

Enter: “Mindfulness in motion.”
