I write 2–4000 words, every single day — 6 days per week.

It’s a heavy workload. Sometimes, my wrists feel strained and my thumbs hurt.

Who knew writing could lead to injury?

Anyway…

When I get ready for a week of writing, Jiu-Jitsu training, and more, I have to make sure that I’m organized. I want my weeks to have as little guesswork as possible.

I write 2–4000 words every single week, but on Sundays, I barely crack 1000. To put it in gym lingo, Sundays are my “active recovery day”. It’s about resting and getting ready for the next week.

A productive week is a routine week.

Here are 5 things every Sunday that help me get ready for a systematic, productive week:

1️. Make my writing to-do list.

Every Sunday, I make a list of the different projects that I have to get done that week.

Writing articles, writing social content, cold DMs, etc. All of it ends up on the to-do list. This is a simple but important part of the weekend routine that leads to a productive week, especially in the first half.
