In 2020, I decided that I wanted to try my hand at “digital writing”.

At the time, I’d never published a single piece of writing anywhere. I had no idea what I was doing.

All I knew was that I liked writing and wanted to figure out how to make money while doing it. I decided to commit to writing for an entire year to see if I could gt by in the world as a writer.

So far, I have hardly any regrets.

Here are the highlights and lessons from my first calendar year of writing online.

Learning to look dumb in public.

The first painful lesson I learned was that sometimes, people aren’t going to agree with you. I wrote an article on Buddhism that was meant with some pretty “strong” criticism.

Lots of people told me I was very stupid.

You can decide for yourself.
